We have traveled with Seabourn before & our expectations were very high . We were not disappointed and we thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. We ate in the main dining room every evening - the service was excellent, the food varied & of a high standard & we enjoyed good & plentiful wines & if we wanted a particular dish one evening, they happily complied. The cabin was of a high standard but space is a little tight & a balcony would have been a great improvement.
Our excursions in St. Petersburg were well organised with excellent guides & the trip/dinner at the Catherine Palace was an outstanding event & was greatly enjoyed by all . On our previous trip to Vietnam with Seabourn, included a one day, exclusively Seabourn complimentary Thai Island Experience which was wonderful .However, on this cruise there was no special complimentary day organised & we were informed by friends who had taken the same cruise last year that the special evening/dinner at the Catherine Palace was exclusively Seabourn & complimentary. The brochure we originally received regarding our cruise, offered an " exclusively Seabourn " complimentary shore experience in Bournholm - however, it was not included & any excursion there had to be paid for .
The lectures & entertainment were of a high standard but obviously couldn't compare with being on one of the large ships.
We enjoyed meeting the other passengers as each evening ,we would be asked whether we'd like to join a table hosted by one of the crew or entertainers .
