Having been on a number of Seabourn cruises on their smaller ships, we were curious to learn if they could maintain the same standard in the new larger ships & the answer is yes with some exceptions.

We set sail from Southampton which made a welcome change from flying to distant airports & the ability to drive to the ship, unload the luggage & leave the car until disembarcation was delightful & smooth.

Our cruise was to Rome & back & in spite of it being early in the season,we had lovely weather apart from rain in Gibralter.

The design of the ship is similar to the smaller ones except that all the rooms are all larger & although the ship was full, there was always pleanty of space & no problem finding chairs either inside or outside.

The suites are lovely with plenty of hanging space in the walk in closets & loads of drawers. The bathrooms are very spacious with 2 sinks & a bath & shower. The decor of the entire ship is quite low key & not a bit flashy which is a pleasant change

The food was very good although the service in the main dining room was rather slow & the food was often
tepid when served. If anything, we preferred to eat in the upstairs dining room which was brighter, quicker & hotter food. We ate once in Restaurant 2 which serves an excellent 7 course meal for those with a large appetite.

We found the loungers around the pool area to be rather uncomfortable & would be much better if there were cushions on them.

Altogether, we had a very enjoyable cruise & look forward to cruising on Seabourn again.

Quite agree about the temperature of food in the MDR, was a great disappointment. Hopefully Seabourn will read these reviews and do something about it.

we have just come back from a cruise onboard Seabourn Legend- totally agree the service on the legend in the restaurant was very slow- not what you would expect from an exclusive cruise company and the prices you pay. The Suite was lovely and excellent service - entertainment really is limited however with only 200 guests on board didnt expect glitzy shows- the company is american and as such caters more for the american traveller- would go again .
