i went on the saga pearl ii with my sister, i was awarded the 8 day cruise by saga, as im a carer for my disabled husband .so i didnt choose saga but even through im fifty four and she is fifty one ,we loved being picked up and driven to the port and feeling very spoilt the ship was lovely and the cabin good the staff was brillent .we was told by a lot of the passengers we was too young to be on saga as it catures for the older ballroom dance people .where we are more disco motown kinda people .i normally cruise on po and cunnard .would i go on saga cruise again ?????yes i would i found i fell in love with the ship and through it took several days i loved the pace and being on a small ship .we was on a christmas market cruise and that was a lovely experence .so yes the evening entertainmeant was not to our taste but the ship made up for that by making us feel special thank you saga

So glad you enjoyed the Saga experience, even though you are 'too young'! I agree with everything you say. Saga have the knack of making everybody feel special (I think that is down to the smaller very friendly ships) in a way that is hard to put into words - you just feel it. The food on Saga Ruby was the best we have ever had on any cruise ship. Everybody thinks Saga is for real oldies, but the little extra touches make sure old and not so old have a wonderful time.

.saga have a carers trust fund, they give over ninty carers a year a weeks break ,to give the carers a break from their careing role .my husband nominated me as i hadnt had a break for over four years if you type in saga carers trust it should tell you how to put your friend forward , they looked after me so well as they take care off everything so i had no worries .so good luck for your friend
