Vision of the Seas

OVERVIEW: Vision of the Seasrepresents Royal Caribbean International’s interpretation of a floating contemporary hotel, and has the nicest mix of colors and decor of any of the Vision-class ships, with lots of warm beige and pink tones, particularly in the expansive atrium.

We cruised from Lisbon to Southampton calling at La Coruna,Gijon,Bilbao,La Rochelle,Brest,Guernsey and Le Havre.
Our cabin was kept clean by our attendant but the fixture and fittings badly need replaced and modernised. This is the only ship we have sailed on where we never witnessed the captain on deck or on a tour of inspection.....areas of ship need a good lick of paint and a scrub of the decks! The bar prices on this ship were excessive, resulting in empty bars with no atmosphere.Prior to our cruise the ship had sailed over from Brazil and acouple of the waiters informed us that bar prices were lowered for that cruise.
The price of the ships shore excursions were extortionate.....eg. Coach to Santiago de Compostella from La Coruna 60$...we went by train for 8 euros return to name but one!.
Each shuttle service provided by the ship cost 15$ each.....in Le Havre the journey was less than 2 kms.
The quality of the food in both restaurant and self-service buffet was very poor...my wife sent her steak back 3 times and gave up in the end.We have saled on Freedom of The Seas previously where the dining experience was excellent.
We have already booked to go with RCCL again in november on Voyager of the Seas,so we are hoping for a better experience....we will not sail on the Vision ofte Seas again.
