Navigator of the Seas

Overview: Navigator of the Seasprovides a host of facilities, rather like a small town, with plenty of entertainment for all ages, yet it offers a healthy amount of space per passenger. The food focuses on quantity rather than quality, unless you are prepared to pay extra in a specialty restaurant.

Myself and my sister cruised from Rome with RCL in october last year, i have cruised with them before so knew what to expect. my sister on the other hand had never done a cruise before. she was very impressed with the ship itself which is faultless, the service was excellent and friendly and we were placed on a large table in the dining room with 6 other ladies from america, australia and germany, we all got on extremely well. brilliant itinerary, we got off at all the ports although thought some of the excursions were a little over priced. entertainment was brilliant, the ice shows in particular, we both loved the nightclub and the street party. we had an interior cabin which was ssssoooo comfy, we hardly spent anytime in it at all so it was more than adequate. the only criticism is that the week went too quick!! we will definitely look to both with RCL again x.

Cabin: Inside
Occasion: Family holiday

Quality of Food
Loved the variety of food in the windjammer, especially the mexican in the afternoons was delicious. i ended up having waffles with cream and the most gorgeous strawberries in syrup for breakfast, a little indulgent i admit but we were on holiday. the good thing about RCL is that you can eat extremely healthy , i loved all the melon in abundance and the fresh fruits.

Loved the ice shows in particular. we also went to the cinema one night and saw the latest Harry Potter which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Shore Excursions
Least favourite excursion was Athens as they had industrial disputes going on at the time, we couldnt get up to see the acropolis and the whole place was strewn with several weeks worth of litter!!! wish we had stayed on the ship!!

Our cabin attendant was lovely, as i had a wardrobe malfunction one evening and he arrived with a sewing kit for me to fix.

Children's Facilities

Onboard Activities
Lots of different activities, my sister tried on line skating which she had never done before, we also intended to go ice skating but never got the time there was too much else to do!!

Although the interior cabins are not particularly massive they are very comfortable, very quiet and very dark. this makes for an excellent nights sleep, the bathrooms are not particularly roomy but perfectly adequate, i personally wouldnt pay the extra for a balcony cabin, (although im sure they are lovely) only because i dont think i would have anytime to sit on it!!!!
