Royal Caribbean Cruises - Navigator of the Seas
Navigator of the Seas
For families, couples or groups of friends seeking a fabulous holiday, a voyage on-board the Navigator of the Seas might be the perfect choice.
It's not hard to see why this ship is referred to as a floating theme park - with plenty of activities, eateries and entertainment options, there's never a dull moment to be found. As part of the Royal Caribbean International fleet, the Navigator of the Seas benefits from the company's 40-plus years in the cruise business, meaning you can rest assured to enjoy the best in service and amenities.

The vessel generally splits its time between Florida and Italy. During the winter months, the liner's main port is at Fort Lauderdale and it regularly embarks on six-night tours of the western Caribbean. In the summer, it is based at Civitavecchia near Rome and the seven-night cruises call at ports in Sicily, Greece, Turkey and Crete.

Food, cuisine and dining
The main dining room is located over three levels, each named after a famous ballet: Swan Lake, Coppelia and The Nutcracker. The massive staircase is a focal point of the room and features a bronze statue of a dancer to go with the decorative theme.
The dining room can be a noisy and busy place, with many guests moving through at an almost constant rate. But if you prefer something a bit more intimate, there are plenty of other options to choose from.
One popular choice is to simply have food delivered to your cabin. Room service is available 24 hours a day and the menu includes a broad selection, including sandwiches, continental breakfast items and various snacks and treats. The main dining room's dinner menu is also available.
Room service is free, although a gratuity is encouraged. And if you fancy a late-night snack between midnight and 05:00, there will be service charge.
In addition, there are a number of alternative dining options for guests to choose from, such as: • Cafe Promenade • Windjammer Cafe • Chops Grille • Portofino • Johnny Rockets • Sprinkles • Jade
On-board entertainment and activities
Keeping busy during your cruise should be easy and with options including various shows, bars and night clubs, comedy performances and land-based excursions, the hardest decision will be which activity to try first.
One of the most popular venues on the Navigator of the Seas is Casino Royale, which is located on the fourth deck. With more than 300 slot machines, poker and blackjack tables, as well as roulette and craps, it offers an exciting atmosphere where you might just win big!
For a bit of peace and quiet, once you've hit the jackpot, why not head to the two-deck library where you can pick up some pool-side reading material? While there, be sure to have a look at the various works of art on display - which are valued at more than $8.5 million.
Spas and fitness facilities
There's no doubt that a cruise is the perfect opportunity to unwind, but if you need a little bit of help with relaxation, a trip to the ShipShape Spa could be the cure.
This large health club spans 15,000 square feet and includes a huge exercise room, full of cardio and resistance machines. Choose from stair climbers, treadmills and bike machines, as well as a number of free weights.
If you'd prefer an exercise class, there are plenty to choose from, or why not sit back and enjoy a heat therapy session in a sauna or steam room? In addition, you can book a spa treatment like a massage or aromatherapy.
Of course, there are also plenty of breathtaking activities available on the upper decks, such as rock-wall climbing, rollerblading or a game of basketball.
Cabins
When selecting a stateroom on the Navigator of the Seas, you'll have plenty of options to choose from. With 22 different types of cabins, you're sure to find something that suits your requirements, as well as your budget.
One thing to consider is the location of your cabin, as well as the types of views you might enjoy from the accommodation.
Rooms with views can have balconies or windows and can face the exterior of the ship (for a romantic sea view), or the interior promenade (for something a bit more lively).
You may also want to consider if you want a view of the port or starboard side, or even a balcony that hangs off the back of the boat - where you can watch the ripples and foam of the ship's wake.
If you choose the lowest priced staterooms, you'll need to go elsewhere to enjoy the scenery, as these cabins have no views at all.
Whichever option you select, you'll enjoy comfortable accommodation and a good night's rest. There's plenty of storage space in even the smallest cabins, while every room includes a private bathroom, a sitting area and a television.
