Independence of the Seas

OVERVIEW: This ship’s ‘wow’ factor is its connection with water in the design of a dramatic water theme park on the pool deck – recommended for families with children. It is now based year-round in the UK for cruises from Southampton, although the onboard currency remains the US dollar, which makes

WOW! I ndependence of the seas

Reviewed By: on
first time on the independence of the seas and what a fantastic ship, we re not disapointed at all. The balcony cabin was excellent and the whole place was spotless the food was good the drinks without the package where bit expensive but we had great time the tours were well organised and generally the staff were friendly the entertainment could have been bit better but ok . We did have the room service the evening food ok but breakfast was cold so we mostly ate in the wind jammer with plenty of variety but some people pushed and shoved dont why plenty for all and something for every one. we did do the fine dining but was not foe us really. The cabin bed was excellent was the best bed i have ever slept in and cos there was 3 of us we had a pulldown bed which was pulled down and made up every nite for us plenty room and storage, the bathroom was quite roomy and even at nite never heard any music or from next door. We were on the 8th deck 8676. The pools could have been bit bigger and the issue of people saving sunbeds was a bit of problem as some were left for hours and no one was policing this and some people complained to customer services but nothing was done. getting the ship was an experience it felt bit like being hearded on and off but still had a great 14 days we looked at the reviews about this ship good and bad but as a holiday there was nothing to really be disapointed about and go and enjoy we did hope to sail on the oasis next now we got the cruise bug! but cos weather was not great would fly to meet the ship
