Cabin: Balcony Occasion: Family holiday
My family had an excellent time overall on this ship, I do hope RCI replace her once she relocates to Florida later this year. Our balcony cabin on deck six was superb and we were again served by some great friendly staff. Live English Soccer is a plus & I bizarrely found more ‘offers’ on alcohol on this sailing than I did 14 months ago (although the flat rate on booze is still borderline-exorbitant) with various one-off promotions on red wine, carafes of wine @ lunch, low-key happy hours and other discounts occasionally available. I even found the cruise director somewhat endearing. The aft lifts are still a real pain to use at times (I witnessed a gang of gypsy kids misusing them at one point). Food was good overall but I was surprised the ship seems to operate with the same menus on the same nights of each cruise. It’s a shame RCI don’t provide a free shuttle in places where the ship docks so far away from any kind of town centre (IE Lanzarote, Madeira).
Quality of Food4
Windjammer can still get very busy at times with a lot of people seemingly wandering around aimlessly empty handed at times. Brasserie 30 is enjoyable although the same menu's are repeated both sea days. Ate in the MDR on an evening.
Entertainment3
Actually found Joff & Rob to be quite endearing in a cheesy way.
Shore Excursionsn/a
NB: Lanzarote's dock is in the middle of nowhere with the ship wanting $12 for a shuttle to town.
Staff4
Our waiter was excellent, our assistant waiter good as was our cabin attendant although I was disappointed omy request for a sofa instead of just a single chair in our cabin was ignored three times before I gave up.

Cabins4
Nice cabin in a perfect location on deck six.

I asked on board if Royal Caribbean would be doing any more winter cruises out of Southampton and was told that they had tried it for two seasons and would not be doing any more. What a shame.

They can make more money in the Caribbean and the Americans/Canadians don't whinge on about prices, they also tip the crew where as alot of the Brits don't....They had to sell the cabins at a low price sailing in the winter from UK...Brain
