Emirates flights to and from Manchester, fine no problems and 2 days at the Grand Hyatt prior to starting the cruise(separate review Trip Advisor). So glad we did this because it gave you time to adjust and relax. Embarkation again no problems and checked the Cabin JS1602 absolutely fabulous. Large balcony on deck 10 aft. The ship is lovely, cabin steward great. Staff on Champagne Bar remembered our drinks each time we visited. The only thing that let the ship down to my husband and I was the Food. Minstrel Dining Room was very crowded, table of 9 and the waiting staff were extremely busy. Even so it took at least 2 hours for the meal and we could not see why. The food was poorly presented, no flair at all. We never saw the Maitre d\'hotel and only the head waiter twice. The choice on the Menu shown little imagination compared with other Cruise Lines. The wine list was extensive, in fact, a very wide selection. The entertainment especially Gordon was very good. The ports of call were good, Abu Dhabi and Dubai were the best, well worth another visit. Fujairah was very different from anywhere else, Bahrain we didn\'t bother to get off the ship. Lots to see, totally different, While in Dubai we went on the Bataeux Dubai, another lovely find, going down the Creek at night. Dubai Mall a shoppers dream but everywhere expensive but you must expect that. The final treat was Burg Al Arab and afternoon tea. 27 floors up the view is amazing. The tea, the service and champagne absolute heaven. Would gladly go back because there is so much to see and do but not with RCI have been with other better cruise lines
Quality of Food2
Fair, Minstrel Dining Room, Portofinos was much better.
Entertainment4
Saw a few shows, Gordon was a star in his own right
Shore Excursions4
Abu Dhabi was the best, lovely beach and blue sea.
Staff4
Cabin Steward, Eleanor, did her utmost to please
Children's Facilitiesn/a
Onboard Activities3
Plenty to do if you didn\'t want to soak up the sun, but beware of people reserving the sunbeds, RCI should do something about it at the start of each cruise
Cabins5
Junior Suite 1602, perfect, large balcony and a good bathroom with all the toiletries provided.

Booked the tea direct with Burg al Arab, I think it was 395 dirhams each, all on line, hotel very helpful and also asked if it was a special occasion which it was, wedding anniversary, and we were presented with a lovely cake. If you can ask for a table by the windows. The vews are amazing, going up in the lift is another experience altogether. Also if you can book 16.30pm sitting, this is the last one of the day so you don\'t have to hurry out. The staff are very very good, the tea amazing infact the whole experience is one to be savoured. Just wish we could have stayed there longer. Hope this all helps. Enjoy!!!!!

Having sailed on the 1st March in room 1104 - just a few doors from you, I can confirm that Elinor the cabin steward from the Phillipines was a great steward. She made our mornings cheery as we met and passed her and again at night as we headed out she was there again. The staff work hard - 7 days with no days off. We had a fabulous cruise on Brilliance and would do it all over again if only we hadn\'t be drawn to Celebrity and what they have to offer! Shame they aren\'t out of Dubai - that would keep everyone very happy!
