There are a few places where the ship is starting to show it's age, on the balcony it looks less than new and places on the crazy golf course are a bit worn - but overall the ship is in really good condition. I think RCI do a good job of keeping the ships nice and clean and looking good.

We didn't notice the smoking to be as bad as in previous years from a Spanish port - as smoking is now also banned in Spain in all public places (like the UK) it seems to have helped. We also cruised on Adventure from Puerto Rico back in 2003 - the mix then was a lot of Puerto Ricans on board (as well as Americans), I don't remember there being a problem with smoking, I doubt as as I don't think the Americans would stand for it!!

Great review but don't automatically assume that passengers dont turn up on the last night to avoid tipping. Fully understand why you may think this but..... We were on Adventure on the previous cruise and we skipped late seating dinner on the last night because of an early start the following day and wanted our children to have plenty of sleep. We went down at the end of first seating to hand over our tips and say thank you. My wife was worried that others may jump to the same conclusion you have! Agree the Diamond benefits are definitely worth having...

You're right of course and I sincerely hope that is why some people don't turn up, (hence I did apologise in advance!), although we know for a fact that these ladies did not tip the waiter though as we commiserated with him...let's hope that they were a minority then :).
