Decided to try Regent all inclusive with butler service in the Caribbean as a birthday treat. Made our own flight arrangements, transfers etc. Embarked around lunchtime and just in time for the pool BBQ and few glasses of wine. Our cabin on B deck 10 was fab - around 300sq feet + 60sq feet balcony. Full bath and separate glass enclosed shower - separate walk in storage room, mini bar stocked with our choice of spirits, mixers, soft drinks, water etc - all inclusive - great. At 6pm sailaway on day one everyone meets up outside their cabins to meet their neighbours while the staff pour champagne(sparkling wine) - not sure whether I'm that keen on this idea.
Food in the main restaurant was fab -open seating - which we much prefer. All wines included with the meal were excelent. The alternative 'Portofino' restaurant was just OK - self service starters and served mains - its the self service daytime restaurant open in the evening and it did feel a bit like a canteen - although all the staff were fabulous - we preferred the main restaurant. Didn't do any shows - not our thing so cannot comment.
Stopped at around 7 Caribbean islands and did our own thing as usual. Didn't see any kids on board - great also.
Apart from the cabins this ship really could do with a make over. Some bar areas are tired and outdated - seen more modern and fresher on certain car ferries. We had several nights were it was very rough and this ship rolls alot and is very noisy (loud bangs and creeks) - many many people were very green and very ill - including us and we've never been ill on any cruise. Overall we like the all inclusive cruise - we loved the food and loved the cabin - staff we're great. Think in future we will stick to the Med etc - done the Caribbean several times - and although its great - we hate the long haul flights.
