Once again we had excellent cruise on the regent .The best excursion was Tracey Arm (only Regent do this )you get picked up by a catamaran that comes alongside at 7am.(the ship then continious onto Junnau where you meet it later )the view of the glacier was spectacular ,we stayed there about 3/4 of an hour ,saw ice falls .harbour seals ,on the way back the boat took us under waterfalls and close into cliffs ,when we came back into the main seaway we saw 3 humpback whales.which was fortunate as the fog then came in and several of the tours later in the day were cancelled .The scenery was spectacular and although we did get fog towars the end we still had good views of the Hubbard glacier. The ports were very small with lots of jewellery shops ,there was not very much of local interest unless you took tours away from the port .We had 1 night of bad weather and didnt get much sleep !restaurant were quite that night !The signatures restarant was dissapointing ,service was not good and the food was nothing special ,but the others were good .
I would also reccomend booking a private tour with an alaskan company for the journey to Anchorage you will stop and see things on the way . We also added indipedently the Rocky Mountaineer and several days in Victoria and Vancouver. We had a marvellous time !
