We have just come back from our cruise on the Navigator. We have previously sailed on the Mariner which is a super ship. We have sailed on other ships the size of the Navigator but found this ship rather cramped for in the public areas. There is an unacceptable amount of vibration on the ship especially when the ship is coming into port. No way could you sleep through the noise & vibration. We felt the service was not quite as good as we had experienced before & wondered if staff numbers had been reduced. Hardly ever was our suite serviced before lunch however the standard of cleaning was extreemly high. The food was very good but around the pool area the bar service was very slow. On the whole the excursions were good. Fortunately there was plenty to do when at sea as our first port of call was cancelled due to engine problems so we had 4 days at sea. There was plenty of different entertainment in the evenings but unfortunately it was not surprisingly aimed at the American passengers. The evening highlights for us were the guitarist Vincenzo Martinelli &the cruise director Ray Sinclair when gave 2 fantastic one man shows. We do like the Regent 'all inclusive' cruises but I don't think we'll be rushing back to the Navigator.

New York the best because guide was super. Fort Lauderdale was ok till the end of the excursion when we were supposed to have 45 mins shopping time, instead we were left in an area of bars & restuarants. It was very hot & we were standing around for till the coach came for us.

I think you will find the Cruise Director's name is Ray SOLAIRE. We cruised with him twice, last time December 2010. He is a great guy, excellent singer and does a marvellous puppet show. A gem in the Regent crown!

You could at least get the Cruise Director's name right! Ray Solaire, OK, not his given name obviously, but his professional one. We would disagree with most of your issues. The captain explained about the engine, that's what caused the vibration at first and it was reduced when the engine was fixed. It did not distrube our sleep. We could not fault the service and were never kept waiting in any of the bars. Our suite was usually serviced by the time be returned from breakfast. I, too, was disappointed in the Fort Lauderdale trip, wasn't the guide irritating? I'd have much preferred nice airconditioned shops to a hike around old houses and a long wait on the corner. We enjoyed Navigator and have booked Montreal to Miami next year.

I wonder sometimes if comments such as Cooke's are computer generated. If anybody makes an adverse comment. Somebody immediately says it was perfect *****. All I can say is, that if Navigator is like the Mariner, the **** was over rated.

No Mr/Ms Henwood, I am not computer generated, nor did I say the cruise was perfect. I just disagreed with some of Mr/Ms Swarbrick's issues. Is that not allowed?
