This was our first time cruising with Celebrity.Had heard great praise of the Line and we were realley looking forward to our cruise(Party of four)
Things began to go wrong once we arrived in Miami.Our flight to San Jaun was delayed for 3 hours, no fault of Celebrity.When we finally arrived in San Juan Airport we could not find a Representative.We assumed that Celebrity would be aware of the delay and have a Rep there to ease our transfer.Eventually after about 45mins a Rep did appear, told us to wait outside and then dissappeared again.We eventually left the airport and arrived at the Hotel for our overnight stay(Chosen by Celebrity)First impression was the Hotel reeked of stale smoke and only one member of staff was on duty to check in arounf forty couples, this took 90mins and by the time we arrived in our room the restauant was closed also the room service(NO Food) and all this time there was no Rep from elebrity to help us.
Next day when we arrived on the Galaxy we discovered that more than a third of the pool area was sealed off with grubby plastic while two men with grinders and drills were repairing the pool area.We contact the desk they informed us that this work(grinding dust and noxios odours from the materials they were using)would be ongoing during the entire eleven days of our cruise.It was appalling and spoilt our holiday.The Hotel Director on Board said he would have prefered that they had taken the ship out of commision, to do this repair.
We have written to the company with our complaint.
