Do feel sea days take some time to get used to, so best to start with only one or two and then on the next cruise a few more etc.,

What dates are you going on in May? are you doing the 29th May for 2 weeks. Went on Oceana in September 2008 to the Canaries with my husband and then 4 year old son. He absolutely loved it as did we. Cabins very good and enough room for 3, drinks prices are just pub prices. Maybe see you on board.

I must admit, I have come to look forward to sea days - lie in in the morning, leisurely breakfast, dance class, morning coffee, sunbathe with book, lunch at Bordeaux (on Aurora), spa appointment, afternoon tea, more reading and relaxing. I usually manage a session at the gym too (got to if attending afternoon tea regularly). Then plenty of time to get ready for first sitting. Going on Aurora for 17 days (nine at sea) in July. Already looking for suitable books to take to read...

For all your enjoyment of the experience, I note that you have not cruised again in the past four and a half years!

We will cruise again but at the moment there is so much of the world to see and explore that we feel the cruise option does not give us this opportunity. When we find the physical exploration too much I'm sure that we will revert to cruising. A relaxing and luxurious way of seeing the world!

Love your comments which come from an obvious first-timer but your first cruise is often one of the best you will ever do. Many things get better as you become more accustomed to cruise life but the excitement and novelty of that first cruise remains with you. Well done, well said and many more of them in the future. .......Neil

Good points, well made! I do know what you mean about flying to destinations, as days at sea are a bit of an acquired taste.
