It started with a late decision to have a cruise holiday. So late, in fact, that it was 4pm the day before the cruise began. The person handling our request was great. He was firm, positive and re-assuring and although we travelled to Southampton only with out passports our worries were foundless as everything was in place. From then on life was a doddle. It was a simply fabulous cruise. The weather, the ship, the crew, the destinations, were all great and my wife and I have never enjoyed a holiday more. I suppose it was all about these things coming together that made this holiday so special. The cabin was ordinary, the food was good without being special and the entertainment was excellent but repetitive. I formed the impression that some cost savings were in place but these did not affect the overall impression which was entirely favourable. Well done P and O.
Quality of Food
In the main Peninsular Restaurant.
Entertainment
The resident entertainers, a song and dance troupe, were reall good but were on so many times.
Shore Excursions
Bruge, St.Petersburg and Copenhagen were the best. The least favourite was perhaps Estonia.
Staff
The cruise director was outstanding. His enthusiasm and talent was infectious.

As long as you only go on the excursions booked on the ship, you are covered by the group visa.

If they were able to get a visa, i thought that was quick. my friend went to the baltic and it was a rush even a week before it was a nightmare for them. as there were problems.
