Cunard is the best !!!!

We have travelled on all the Cunard ships since the 1950s...the QM2 is absolutely the best...as I' ve told anyone who will listen, the QM2 is "so very fine".....not just glitzy and huge like other lines we've travelled on...we've done transatlantic many times, the Caribbean, and this fall we are taking the trip to Canada...can't wait to get back on the ship !!!!

We have been in both the Britannia and the Princess Grill classes, both times with balconies, and i can honestly say it's not worth the extra money to travel in the Grills......food is the same and we love the Britannia Dining Room, always choosing the lower level and large tables so we can meet people..also if you don't like your table it is easy to change. Also there are many other dining venues if you don't want to dine in the main dining room...the food is wonderful and is available 24/7, including room service...

The staff is absolutely accommodating in every way, always saying hello when they pass you, helping with trays in the self-serve restaurants, and just generally being very cordial and professional...nothing is too much trouble..

On the Caribbean cruise we felt the excursions were over-priced and not really necessary..there are always vans and taxis to take you where you want to go at a much cheaper price...

The entertainment is well-rounded....singing, dance shows of the cabaret variety, dance lessons, Royal Shakespeare performances, bingo, lectures, etc...something for everyone...there's a beautiful library, and many lounges to just sit and relax or have a beverage....haven't tried the Spa, but hear it's wonderful...

As I entitled this review, Cunard is the best !!!

Could not agree more, the QM2 is breathtaking. Personally I think she knocks spots of the QE2 and Queen Victoria.

So nice to read a Great! review from across the pond in America. I do not see many of them, but this one will now make me think of going on QM2. Have only managed a cruise on the QE2 at Christmas time and that was wonderful and it was good being in the Brittania restaurant, Friends we had met at the Airport were in the Princess Grill but thought it was a bit to posh for them, they really did want to join us in the Brittania as it 'seemed like more fun' they said. Anyway thanks for a great review and I will look out for many more. Regards...Wendy
