Having had more than 25 cruises from the 1st on the Canberra, most of the Thompson ships and all of the Airtours it was with some slight ap prehension I board the the Balmoral this being because of the reviews I had read describing the mobility scooters wheelchairs zimmers and such , I was worried it might be an oaps outing forgetting of course that I am now one.. totally wrong.. wide range of ages on board, Standard of hygiene excellant, just how many gallons of the hand wash go they use a trip, and did not hear of any problemns regarding sickness etc. Only complaint I heard was from regualar Olsen cruisers who felt the ship was too big, felt it was just nice size 1 floor up to dinner and another up to lounges and bars. plenty of chairs and loungers around for all even though still insist on reserving loungers then disappearing for hours. pool really warm and actually able to use jacuzzi this trip. usually full of youngsters who should not be in there , with out supervision. Enjoyed the themed evening nice to see so many taking part, and on the Captains nights nearly everyone donned there glad rags, men included.
Quizzes good fun, and bingo very good at £2 a session. would I go again yes.
