... that Ocean Village is going. We had a very enjoyable cruise onboard the Emperors and Espresso cruise with Ocean Village which was also our very first Ocean Village cruise. This cruise was a one week cruise with just one full day at sea with the ship its self being clean and well kept. We particularly liked the ports of Villefranche and Ajaccio which were the most picturesque as the others were more industrial. We went on 3 shore excursions; Easy Tunis, Florence and Pisa and Monaco and Monte Carlo. All the tours were well run although they were a bit on the pricey side. The food was excellent with plenty of choice in the Plantation and Waterfront Restaurants as well as La Luna. The Plantation Restaurant was 24 hours and I particularly liked the midnight snacks which included burgers, hotdogs, chips, salads and more. The open deck planet show was enjoyable and there were many quiz’s to take part in. We flew with Thomson Airways from Manchester Airport and the transfer from Palma airport to the ship to check in to boarding the ship was straight forward. We were informed that our cabin would not be ready until 3pm so we were told that we could go up to the BBQ on top deck. The weather was fantastic on this cruise and all staff onboard were friendly and polite. According to the Cruise Director, Ocean Village has recently had a run of the best customer feedback scores than any other Carnival UK brand. I would recommend Ocean Village to anyone who is looking for an informal cruise holiday because once it’s gone, it’s gone!
