We did a three night break on the NCL Jade to Le Havre and Guernsey. At the check in the lady told us this was known as a booze cruise (nice start to the break). We had been on it last year for a two night break and enjoyed this style of cruising so was looking forward to this one. Never mind we had paid a good price and after all it was only 3 nights. Yes there were hen and stag parties and a bridal party, were they load not really but then we were still in port. Honestly from my opinion and that’s what it is we had no trouble from them or any noise. We ate at the main Grand Pacific restaurant for lunch and an evening meal both times the food service was good. We ate at Jasmine gardens and although we had a table booked for 9pm we were not seated till 9.30pm the food this time although still good we both agreed was better on the last cruise. Our other choice was Cagneys the table booked for 9pm and we were seated at 9pm here the whole experience was a plus the food out standing and service was good and we left stuffed to the brim. We had lunch at the Blue Lagoon, which was advertised as comfort eating, and that it was. My main was not very good but that was through bad choice. The garden café is always very busy so we only tried that the once as could not find a table to eat at for quite some time. Choice of food was good and of acceptable quality. It was a full ship possibly over full not by regulations but from comfort; many cabins had three adults to them. Would we do this again most defiantly like the last time we had a great time and the staff were attentive and the restaurants served good food and with so many eating places your spoilt for choice. One tip though book your table in advance they take bookings 24 hours in advance and 48 hours for balcony upwards guests.
Quality of Food4
Cagneys we had the fish cake starter fillet steak for main and my husband had the cheese cake
Entertainment4
The comedian was not very good on our opinion. lllia and valerie Duo Acrobatique were fantastic. The ships own entertainers were great and the show we saw was showdown
Shore Excursionsn/a
We did not get off at Le Havre. At Guernsey we took the number 7a bus and for 60 pence each we toured the island out skirts taking one and a half hours. We decided to stay on but you can get off on the route and you just pay the 60 pence again. Best tip turn left from the dock and walk to the bus terminal as you will then be the first to board these buses are very popular
