Nice to see a well balanced review. Have you read the review after this one where they have given 1 star? Please look at it and comment. I believe that her review has been totally coloured by an accident where another boy caused her son to have a bloody nose and she was frustrated in that she could not get closure. I feel strongly that the review is an unwarrented blot on the ship and its crew. I will look for your comment.

Very good review . my husband and i did the 2 weeks cruise round the med for our silver wedding anniversary . i had booked 2 of the packages , i for fathers day cost £25 and the other for our anniversary cost £50 but they are well worth the money and the fruit cake is really nice . we dined in The Bistro 3 times every s excellent was excellent and the service was great too
and yes there was people that came for a meal with shorts on but it is informal dress . can i say becareful in La Luna at the extra priced meals at night time one person can dine and have 3 courses for £4.75 but if you chose a meal with the surcharges ie a mixed grill which is £6.oo you also pay the £4.75 aswell . we did the sousse shopping trip in tunis which thank goodness we had a guide
to take us round , the lady who is making a rug in the carpet shop they take you too had her hand in my pocket after my money so be warned also in tunis be careful in the shops u have to haggle the prices down as they can say its 100 EURO and if you haggle you can get it for 10 euro . the staff are all so friendly and always smiling nothing is to much trouble for them . the self service laundrette is £3.00 a wash takes about 40 mins and £2.00 to dry nylons and light cottons and thing heavier needs extra money . the iron and board are free saves taking the dirty washing home . my overall regret of this holiday was having an inside cabin we when we were in it which wasnt often we had to have the light on all time . outside cabin next time for me .
Also be warned of the pick pockets and bag snatchers in every port you go to .

We cruised at the same time 23rd to 30th june on ocean village and agree with most of the comments. However they do take the towels of after a half hour as we found out The reason being i was rendering first aid to a passenger as we could not find any staff ( they did eventually appear) The only other thing was they do not enforce the rule about children in the saunas on deck and we had difficulty getting in them . It was our 2nd cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed it and would go again We had a cabin on e deck deck 6 with a lovely sea view and clean cannot fault it at all.The monacco and monte carlo trip was not long enough and they do not warn you about all the steps so be warned if its your first time there

did you hear the rumour about a crew member jumping off ship or was someone spreading false rumours

What a well balanced, informative review. You just about nailed everything on the head. I'm pleased that you all managed to enjoy your holiday so much and got so much out of it.

A pretty fair review. However, you did not mention the smoking. We were onboard a month before you and no one wore shorts into dinner - perhaps it just got hotter? The James Martin Bistro is not just endorsed by him - he comes on board regularly to check on his personally trained staff and even does some cooking. It is not just good value - his starter of scallops on black pudding is £25 in his London restaurant! The lower cabins are the same large size and can be quieter than yours. I very much agree with you about the cost of the tours - The most disturbing thing was that there was no one from the ship keeping a tag on the numbers, leaving it up to the poor old contracted guide - and several people got lost on our cruise!

A 'no holds barred' (it's a wrestling expression) review indeed! Thanks for taking the time and trouble - useful information for fellow cruisers. Sounds like you had a superb time.
