north cape cruise on June 2009. Itinery great, cabin spacious and ship very good, cleaned constantly. Only one restaurant serving a la carte which was terrible, meals barely warm, limited choice, meal times rigidly fixed. If you missed it , you went hungry. Have had better food in motorway service stations. "Working staff "very pleasant and accommodating. Reception staff beligerant. Food in buffet o.k , but cold. Tea and coffee undrinkable because of chlorine taste. No tea or coffee making facilities in cabin, in fact , no running drinking water in cabin. Excursions overpriced and of incredibly poor quality. On board drinks very expensive
Not much to do on board (unless you want to relax), one morning activity was "how to make boxes", the afternoon activity was "how to decorate the boxes you made this morning"
The entertainment in the bars was very poor, being plinky plonky piano music or second rate vocal groups. If I wasn't of sound mind, may have jumped off the back of the ship to get away from it.
Scenery during cruise was wonderful, the weather was great. Cruise spoiled by poor food and rip off prices on board. Other passengers who cruise regularly say they have regreted going on this cruise line because of the facilities on board.
Be warned.

Quality of Food1
buffet breakfast, but often unable to find a seat. A La Carte dinner, but choice limited and often repeated, barely warm and sometimes inedible. Sweets a disgrace. Pizza bar, although the pizza base was good, the topping appeared to have been but on with an emulsion roller. (not much of it.)
Entertainment1
Went to one theatre show which was o.k. The rest of the entertainment in the bars was very poor. You were not entertained.
Shore Excursions1
None of the excursions I went on was value for money. They were all very expensive, badly organized and left you hanging around for extended periods of time.
Staff5
Cabin staff were excellent, as were all the serving staff.
Children's Facilitiesn/a
Onboard Activities1
Nothing for me.
Cabins5
Cabin was excellent

Totally agree have been on many cruises and we would not recommend these to our worst enemies totally disorgabnised and out to fleece you for every penny they can get out of you. Agree cabin was very good and cabin and waiting staff good but it stops there. If you want to be legally mugged go on these cruises personally we would not touch these wiith a barge pole in future. We will stick to P&O and Fred Olsen.Ocean Village is also a very good choice if you want the informal. But MSC forget it. They treat this ship like a glorified ferry picking up passengers in Dover Amsterdam and Bremahaven. food was awful and evening meal was rushed I think if they could have force fed you they would have. Anyway will NEVER NEVER use this company again. Carol & Bruce Halliday and Jenny & Bryabn Chell ages 59 - 64 - 60 - 60 respectively Cruise date 22nd June 2009
