Hardly...........but it was described as an 'Amazonian adventure' and it was nice to escape the British winter for two weeks in January. It is the first time we had sailed with the Princess line and considered it good value for money
There were few real complaints about the cabin, ship or food. Staff were friendly and there was a good atmosphere on board. Inevitable with smaller ships, the staff seemed to double up in various roles - a case of 'jack of all trades, master of none'. They often appeared to be 'meeting themselves coming back' and appeared under pressure although always with a smile on their face.
The excursions were a little disappointing and expensive, a common complaint among regular cruisers. We saw very little wild life and a lot of rubber trees. Villages were 'set up' for our arrival and had been affected by 21st century living far more than expected. Biggest complaint was hanging around. Five hours in Miami airport seemed a little excessive.
Having tried several cruise lines we would certainly consider Princess again.
