We enjoyed the cruise from the moment our luggage was whisked away to be delivered to our cabin to the moment we disembarked and found our luggage waiting for us ashore. Our cabin was well equipped and maintained beautifully during the cruise. The crew were friendly and helpful and despite their working very hard, found time to chat for a few minutes and check that all was well for us. There was plenty of entertainment to choose from, although we preferred to spend our evenings after dinner taking a stroll around the decks and spending some time in the gym or playing table tennis. The food in each of the restaurants was varied, well prepared and delicious. And finally - Norway. Probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, and cruising was the perfect way to enjoy it. To glide through such awe-inspiring scenery and have the opportunity to go ashore and visit a different fjord-side village each day was a wonderful introduction to cruising.
Quality of Food
We had buffet breakfast and lunch and dined in the Waldorf Restaurant in the evening.
Entertainment
We do not enjoy musicals but did attend one show and one performance by the comedian. We felt that, although the entertainment was not to our taste, it was well received by the audience and perfectly adequate for those who wanted a show in the evening.
Shore Excursions
We enjoyed the walking tour of Bergen, despite the rain. The tour guide was well-informed and brought to life the history of the place.
Staff
Our cabin steward, Elena, was very welcoming and maintained our cabin well. The staff in the restaurants were very friendly and efficient.

Onboard Activities
Marco Polo is not a large ship but we were happy with the gym facilities and the table tennis. There were plenty of other activities available, although we chose not to take advantage of them. We valued the Daily Programme, the 'newspaper' and the puzzle page available each day from Reception.
Cabins
We were perfectly happy with our cabin, the storage space, the comfort of the beds and the ensuite.
