I checked in I told her that I had travelled by my self, and said I was very brave to do it, I asked if I could have someone to take me on the ship,as I was exhausted, she told me someone from the ship would be around the corner, this was not true, had no intention arrange it there again I had to do it my self, also find my own cabin. The cabin steward was very good, he help me when he saw me struggling in the corridor.I needed a long rest, and used the selfservice I was having problem getting my food once again nobody came to help me,I even passed two waiter talking to each other.I did have words with the head waiter, and had no problems. for the rest of the cruise.I wrote 2 letters to company and did not receive a reply,I did not ask for any compensation, all I wanted that they recognized the problem and put it right for other pepole like me.As regards the ship it was very good, food, entertainment, ice rink dancer where elcellentAs suitability for me I could not use a lot of the things, but it was lovely to watch others enjoying themselves.Disabled cabin was about 1/2 bigger than a normal cabin, and had a wet bathroom, and could take the wheelchair in there.

Hello I really do not understand how you had these problems. Although while slighly impaired through a knee injury I travelled on Liberty last year and while I cannot comment on the situation you met at embarkation I saw numerous disabled people on board many seem to be alone, but they we all using the little motorised scooters on board the ship, do not know why a suggestion of this facility was not made to you perhaps that is something to need to take up with RCI and hope that this does not put you off RCI as they are a brilliant cruise line and in my own mind seem to cater for the disabled but again I suppose it depends on the degree of disability as to how much help is required. Persist to get satisfaction from RCI , perhaps you should take it up with the USA office I find you get more help from them that you get from the UK office . I am going back this year DV on Liberty and could not find my booking but it took me to get in touch with USA to get help and UK were hopeless in sorting out my problem.
