The wife and I were on the maiden voyage from Southampton in 2005,which unfortunatly was terminated in Lisbon due to the toilets problem on board. So it was time for a revisit,we were not dissapointed,as usual Thomsons gave us a great time, this was our 5th cruise with them, glad to report all the public toilets have been refurbished and all worked. We ate every night in the Meridian, our waiters, Richard,Jonathan and wine waiter John-John were fabulous,my glass was never empty and as soon as we sat down our drinks were there, even when eating in the lido restaurant if John was working our drinks were produced even without asking.Needless to say the food was very good and plenty of choice especaily lunch time in the Lido. Our cabin was the same as on the original cruise and the same as we had on the Spirit as their sister ships, inside twin on A deck, always kept clean and tidy by Handri, who was quietly efficient. Due to my wife having walking problems we only went on the excursion to Venice and the Glass bottom boat in Corfu. must mention Capt Roy,he was always walking around the ship and you could talk to him,he used to come on the tannoy and say 'Captain Roy here on the bridge' he was great, he even took us for a trip around the fiords ouside Kotor. The shows were very good, the team of dancers and singers were very talented, and the crew show was tremendous the waiter who sang operatic got a standing ovation from a packed show lounge, and the dance team were great as well.the Thomson entertainers led by David did a good job with their shows and quizzes,Jennies laugh was a laugh. All in all it was a smashing cruise all round.
