Destination: Mediterranean Age: 56-65
Sailed on the azamara quest 16th May - 30th May 2009. This ship is amazing everything stated in the intenary is spot on. All of the restarants are first class as with all of the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them, ask and you will be obeyed. The food is excellent along with the presentation. The ships decor is like a country mansion. Only downside was the bathroom just about adequate, but ok. Drinks expensive $6.50 +18% for gin&tonic. Anyway go and enjoy the Azamara you wont be dissappointed

Everything said in this review is so true. Hey the drinks are expensive but just try to buy drinks in a 5* hotel and they will be the same. This is an amazing cruise experience and there was nothing we would change. Yes the bathroom in the stateroom is small but everything you need is at hand, plenty of storage and just how much of your cruise do you spend in the loo? Special mention to the crew - from the bathroom attendants right up to the captain, this is the friendliest crew on any ship we have been on!

so pleased you enjoyed this holiday. Have been reading kind of mixed reviews on Azamara, and just getting a bit nervous. Love nice food, not too bothered on entertainment but hoping that the restaurants are better than celebrity. Also, loved the speciality restaurant on Constellation and Millenium and looking forward to this being as good! Did you travel around the Italian stops independantly? We want to go to Positano from Sorrento and Portofino from La Spezia. Please help with best way to get there on our own. Thanks so much.

We did everything independently. There is always an official local guide on board ship at each stop. You will be well informed on how to do it yourself. The main point about doing it yourselves it allows you more time in the mornings to have breakfast and not rush to catch the organised tours. But yes it is easy do it. Once again you will not be disappointed on this ship. Have a good holiday.

thankyou. How would you grade this ship against others, what ships have you been on and what is your favourite. Looking forward now, did you get to Portofino. Was it easy to get reservations in the specialist restaurants, we have made one booking but would like to probably eat there more. Thanks

We have been on various ships NCL, PO, Thomson but the Azamara is the best so far. Reservations are easy to book and not limited. However, do them within a couple of days when you board ship. There is a supplement but not compulsory. No we didn't get to Portofino. Go and enjoy.
