Read with horror some of the reviews but please don't worry, all was fine. We likened this cruise to Butlins at sea due to the ice carving and napkin folding demos and afternoon pool games for the kids but the children adored it. They were 7 and 13 at the time of travel. Cabins basic but lovely and clean. For those that moan about the food, what do they want as there was just so much choice and they keep replenishing supplies all of the time. I do have one thing we were totally unhappy with, we had paid for the cabin the day we returning to Palma as we didn't want to vacate it really early but we didn't realise that we had to vacate ours and use another early that morning. Staff were extremely rude, kept ringing us to get us up and out and even send one of the captains to open the door and come in whilst the four of us were still in bed! I am still shocked by this treatment as we thought we were able to stay there until the afternoon but they thought I was trying to pull the wool over their eyes. Lucky that was the last day as all others days had been totally enjoyable lots of nice places to go and see and i felt that treatment was appalling. They had extremely bad attitude when I complained about it and more a less said it was my fault, i explained that i had paid for a cabin for the last day and i had not been told to vacate it and move to another but they didn't care whatsoever. Bad, attitude, shame as it left a nasty taste to what had been a good holiday. The ritz it's not, but if you want that, pay for another boat. This ship does what is says on the bottle, good food, see lots of lovely places in the med and it's really cheap. Lovelyfor children. I get bored quite quick so it's lovely to wake up somewhere different everyday and educational for the children. The price makes it accessible to all walks of life, I would rather take 2 cruises on a cheaper boat that one on a posh boat, my aim is simply to see all the lovely places that the boat stops off at. Yes there are some so say Chavvy types which don't worry me at all, worse are those that go on holiday simply to get drunk all day and night and those people are to be found on every holiday.
Hope this review helps you. We missed our first attempt at this cruise the previous year, got to the port at Palma and our son had to be rushed to hospital to have his appendix out. First class hospitals in Majorca, brilliant treatment.
