FEVER on Ocean Village

We went on the Ocean Village to the caribbean but we were appalled by the entertainment on offer. To say it was raunchy was putting it mildly. One evening the show was called FEVER and it carried a warning to those who are easily offended. Needless to say we didn't attend not that we are prudes. We note it was for people who don't do cruises but there was no need for that.

My husband and I went on Ocean Village 2 and we also did not think much of the entertainment. The air condition in our cabin did not work despite being so called "fixed" on numerous occasions. Needless to say we will not be going on Ocean Village again - give us Thomson as a UK brand or American cruise ships where they know how to treat customers.

My mum and i , she being 82 years old, and me 60 , just got back from myths and minarets trip on ocean village 2 , we saw the show fever , and i can honestly say , it was the best show i have ever seen. I am aprolific fan of the theatre , and those dancers were some of the best ive ever seen, including west end shows and major productions , High energy, fantastic costumes and original choregraphy

We saw 'Fever' on our OV Mediterranean cruise. The theatre was packed and we were entertaned by an energetic enthusiastic dancing/singing group, costumes fun but nothing more revealing than you could see on the sun deck. You missed an enjoyable fun show.

Hello to the Nields. I hope you enjoy the cruise in October. We didn't think our review would cause such a stir! Our cabin was a spacious deck nine ocean view one. The ship is well equipped and modern with plenty of room to move. But we couldn't get away from the overtone of the entertainment, we didn't go to the FEVER show because of the warning that it was their most daring show to date and it was the debut "never been done before". So us being average people didn't think it for us. Enjoy the cruise for the places you visit and the people you meet. Prices were average for cruises and only a cover charge for eating at James Martin's restaraunt.

The reason it was a 'raunchy' show was a pole dance. It is done by a contortionist who also performed in the village square and in the planet show with fire, rings, hoops, silks and trapeze. She was amazing. During the show she also 'sllinked' backwards (very slowly) under the bottom rung of a chair - like a limbo in reverse- but with enourmous grace. It was spectacular.

!What a prude. We were on this cruise, and saw the Fever show. It was very good! Well done to Freedom to move who performed the show. Keep up the excellent entertainment OV. There were worse things to put up with, like the ignorant smokers who lit up in No Smoking areas. They are the ones to get rid of.

After reading these comments, it has cemented my ideas that I would never ever go on an Ocean Village cruise. I am definitely not a prude, but who wants that type of entertainment on a cruise? only rough types who have no idea what real entertainment is thats who. I wouldnt go on an O V cruise if it was only £10 for a caribbean trip. The type of entertainment they put on is for the type of people who go on them, sun readers, men with england shirts, essex women and the like. If you want class avoid this like the plague. You pays your money!!!

Interteresting comments from someone who has never actually cruise Ocean Village. We went on OV2 on a 14 Night Caribbean cruise in Feb/March and it was the best cruise we have been on. Bearing in mind that we have been on over 15 Cruises with Princess, Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Holland America Line, to say OV2 was the best of the bunch is some statement. The evening entertainment knocked the socks off of what the other companys offer and the Fever show was not only fantastic but it was performed by some very talented individuals! Your comments about Sun Readers, Essex women and the like are some what pathetic in all honesty and they could'nt be further from the truth!
