I was so impressed with the check in. It was so quick and I was soon in my very neat cabin B429, bang in midship facing the lifts and I never heard a peep. Being a non smoker once for the first 30 years of my life, I respected the smoking rule in the cabin. , I agreed with the rule. The exchange (bar) kept all the smoking in one place when inside, strangley I noticed it as a focal point where people met.
Being so big I kept losing my way so I advise anyone to study the ships plan well before they go. Aimed at a slightly younger market with no ballroom (that I could see) Drinks were £2.60 a pint.My cabin steward was unique and her smile helped my days. I really got into the interacive quizes It brought up all the statistics on a big screen after evryone presses the answers on a keypad. The staff on board were fantastic. The arena (theatre) was so modern, older people were complaining about some green lighting as you walked up the stairs into the arena, so clearly P&O are aiming at a younger market. The childrens facilities were emense with many playstaions (see picture) and pcs, plenty for them to do with attentive staff that would put some good parents to shame. It would have been nice to have been able to stand at the stern of the ship so I could watch the world go by. But yes I am planning to return to the ship one day

Thanks for a very fair review. Am mystified however by your comment about "standing at the stern". Aft of Promenade Deck and Beach Club seem to have been able to meet your requirement
