Independence of the Seas, Ireland Short Break.

We have just returned from our second cruise onboard Independence of the Seas, we done the Maiden in May with just my wife and I but done the 4 night break Ireland on August Bank Holiday with our kids.

We had an FI grade cabin, Family Inside overlooking the Royal Promenade, basically it is two inside cabins that have been opened up to make one large room, almost the size of a small suite I would say, two large windows looking onto the Promenade, the room had a nice double bed for us, a pull out sofa bed for my oldest daughter, and a seperate small bedroom with bunks for my smallest kids, a decent family sized bathroom which was well appointed, and a huge walk in wardrobe, superb room, kept clean and served our needs as a large family perfectly, the room service menu has been trimmed extensively since our first cruise in May which was a slight disappointment but not a problem.

The ship is showing that she has been cruising for a few months now, but she still has that air of newness on her, she is a beautiful ship and we are so lucky to have her cruise out of the UK for what is looking like a few years maybe.

All teh facilities and amenities are good and everyone os well catered for, only gripe was that tehy put the onboard prices up the weekend we travelled but you cant odds that.

The restaurant was good, food was of a good standard and we enjoyed all of our meals, unlike when we sailed Carnival last month which was a disaster!

The kids enjoyed the clubs that they joined in on and overall we all had an excellent few days, it was quite expensive but it was well worth it.

Would I go again, too right, am I going again, not until I have saved up a few pennies first!!!

But, those that are booked on her, enjoy her she is wonderful!
