Cruise Reviews

A most enjoyable cruise

Reviewed By: C, Southampton on 18th Aug 2008
Cruise Line: MSC Cruises Times cruised before: 3-5
Cruise Ship: MSC Armonia Sailed: August, 2008
Destination: Norwegian Fjords Age: 46-55
We have just returned from 10 days cruising the Fjords. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday on MSC Armonia. The ship was spacious and immaculate. Our room was enormous in comparison with previous experience and the staff were excellent in every area of the ship. Food was plentiful but we found eating in Marco Polo restaurant more enjoyable than the buffet. The entertainment was excellent and plenty of variety-we thoroughly enjoyed all styles of music on offer. As we had read drinks are expensive and tea/coffee not available free 24/7 but this was our only negative. The weather was disappointing but we made the most of the opportunities to explore every destination. We did not feel the need to book any trips and used the tourist information on the docksides. We felt we had value for money and would not hesitate booking with MSC again.

We went on the northern/Baltics crusie and had a nasty time the food was awful and no one respected the dress coge and turned up at the dining rooms in jeans on formal night!

We are taking this same trip next Tuesday - how many 'dressing up nights' are there - so I take the right amount of frocks - we dont seem to have received any information regarding this. I presume we need a mixture of comfortable and warm clothes - is this right? Carol Collins

We had 3 Gala nights. Weather was very changeable-no need for suntan lotion! We wore summer clothes with a fleece and lightweight wet weather coats(occasionally)
