This was my 1st mini cruise that i had been on with my friend so i didnt know what to expect. At check in at the deperature lounge we did not receive much information from the lady who checked us in and we did not receive a map and were not informed how to manage aur onboard account and that we need to set up card details. That aside when then had to wait untill we were called onto the ship which my friend was not happy with as she normally did not have to do this with her other cruises but it did not really bother me. Our room was clean small but obviously what you expect on a cruise. The entertainment i did not really enjoy on the Friday and we had to sit on the stairs and watch the singers from behind a post and it was very repeative. However the entertainment circus act on saturday i did enjoy. The que for dinner on Friday nite was unberable and we walked around the boat 4 2 hours holding a device that finally vibrates when we can be seated. Once finally seated the food was good but not much communication from the staff and i got a completly different meal to what i ordered but i ate it anyway. So saturday night we made sure we booked in for a mexican and that was great. My biggest complaint that i had is onboard they took my card details to open my account which i paid of with cash on departure. But they did not tell me they pre authourised £160 of my money i found this out when i came back home and could not access any money. Once i rang up the after care service it took 2 days for it to clear. I was not happy and the tips on board were a joke and to expensive. Added on to everything drinks and my account! I will not be booking with ncl again on that cruise.

having just returned from a mini cruise on jade the food was not up to the standard of gem the cabin staff were lax entertainment have seen far better.
