Wonderful Cruise

Last week we cruised on the Sapphire Princess from Whittier to Vancouver, preceded by a landtour in Alaska, and it was all fantastic. The scenery was wonderful, the ship and service excellent and we enjoyed all of the ports and the scenic cruising days. My favourite place was Glacier Bay where we had a very warm and sunny day. In Skagway we booked a private tour with Dyea Dave who we found on the internet and he took us on a very scenic tour up into Canada. In Juneau we did a Princess cruises whale watching trip, which we had done previously on an earlier cruise, and it was just as good this time. In Ketchikan we booked a floatplane flight with Michelle of island-cruises-summer-holidays/'>Island Wings who came highly recommended on the cruise boards. That was a great experience. The scenery on the Inside Passage on the way down to Vancouver was breathtaking. The sky was blue, the sea smooth like glass and we saw whales and porpoises jumping out of the water. Beautiful.

Sorry, I didn't realise I had put N/A for staff. We found them all to be excellent - our cabin steward, the restaurant staff, bar staff etc. We didn't go to any of the entertainment as it was light all evening so we preferred to watch the scenery going by. That is why I put N/A for entertainment. We found the food in the main restaurant to be very good and we also enjoyed the food in the Horizon buffet although it could get very crowded at certain times and some of the food could have been hotter.
