Freestyle is different.

My wife and I have been on a few cruises before, so we thought we would have a change and try a freestyle cruise, as we have never been on this type of cruise before.
We did find it different especially when it came to eating in the evening, not having a set time or having to coform to a certain dress code. We did find it strange after being used to formal evenings, but I can see how it can easily catch on especially for the younger up and coming generation, and for those who have families, who can eat when and where they want too, instead of having to wait until say 8.30 pm.
My wife is disabled and in a wheelchair all the time, but we found without exception that all the staff were very helpful and we were no trouble to them at all, an example being when we went out on a morning excursion we were put on a coach which had fewer steps to climb and on return to the cruise ship, the stepway onto the ship had been raised up two more decks, so would of made getting onto the ship a lot more difficult, but the staff without hesitation told us to go to a lower ramp which they opened especially for us, we could not of asked for anythig more, they were so helpfull.
The evening entertainment was OK it certainly was'nt the worst weve seen, considering it was a short cruise, the theatre was quite stylish and very easy for wheelchair users, so top marks there.
Also top marks for the very spacious cabin which was a cabin for disabled, plenty of room in the cabin to move the wheelchair about, and in the bathroom there were enough handrails in the right places, so once again perfect for my wife.
If this had been a longer cruise I could see that the food served in the Garden Restaurant could become a bit repetative, but there was plenty of it and enough choice for this cruise.
Our main problem was'nt the cruise itself but the getting on and off at Southampton with all the luggage we needed, it was a very long walk to the car park.
