Totally disagree with this review although I do agree that there wasn't any tea making facilities in the room but when room service is available at no extra cost why make one yourself!! I think you are extremely hard to please. Do not be put off this ship by Harrods review. I have just returned from cruising on the Navigator for the 1st time myself having cruised numerous times with other lines, they all have little problems no matter how much you pay, why dont you chill. I am surprised at these comments as disembarkation on my Med cruise in June was excellent. Entertainment was varied and plentiful. The ice show was fabulous as were the Backbeat Beatles (never been a fan of the Beatles but this show was great). Entertainment generally I found very good but as there are so many options it pays to check your Daily Compass to check where it is. Why on earth would you want to take alcohol on board as there is plenty available to purchase either in a package before you go (excellent value) and if you want you can have your wine/drinks delivered to your room, perhaps this a money saving ploy. Restaurant service excellent in main dining option and specialty restaurants but obviously service in a buffet restaurant ie Windjammers is not going to be on a par. Laundry service was excellent if needed but why on earth you would want to be doing laundry on holiday is beyond me. As I intend to do more cruising it was invaluable to find out other guests' opinions whilst on board and in general there was a resounding "thumbs up" for RCI.

Why has Harrod, Kings Lynn submitted a review dated 2nd July 2008 for a cruise he or she reviewed in June 2007?

why i put in that report was because i put in a letter while on board last year about a gold necklace i bpurchased in gibraltar at a shop the cruise line recommended and insured would replace any faulty product this necklace broke while still on ship not a cheap one by any means 400 pounds cost me 30 pounds to repais back in england numerous e mails but not 1 reply from a respected cruise company need i go on also can u tell me u dont like a drink to have in your cabin sometime in their reply something about not wanting you to over indulge while on board they pushed it your face enough in the bars on deck on sail aways while in dark theatres ? i could go on?

We are all entitled to our opinion, but the average passenger review for this ship is 4* . Food poor compared to P&O, I don’t think so, it’s up to the standard of any of the 4* lines, we, a group of 6 all agreed the food was to a good standard, as we too have just returned from Navigator. Restaurant service was as efficient as any 4* line & better than some. Laundry is relatively cheap should you need it & morning tea/coffee is free with room service. What do you need a kettle for, it ain’t a camping holiday. If your going to write a scathing review of a respected product, give us some more details, as 3 lines of text just about sums up your review. Not worth the money….or was that the read!
By the way I can compare it to P&O, I’ve done about 30 of them.

I can see where both partys are comming from, just returned from a med cruise on the Nav in June. Thought it was a very nice ship & couldn't find fault with it.
Staff & amediaties were great & we had a fab time.
Couldn't find fault with the entertainment, it was very good.
Food was OK, however, if pushed I do prefer PO or Celbity.
The issue around kettles in the room? personally I thinks its nice to have a cup of tea in your room prior to going to the Wind jammer for some thing to eat. RC policy is if you require tea in your room, is that you can order via room service.
This was my second cruise with RC the other being in Asia in January on the splender of the seas, The Nav is better.
In conclusion I would sail on her again

The question to why did Harrod do a review on a 2007 cruise? To get the FREE cruise guide of course!
I have done P & O threre times and RCI 3 times and RCI wins hands down for everything IMHO. Dont take any notice of the year old negative review.DE
