We decided to sail from Southampton with NCL on the Jade, we had only ever been on one cruise before with the island-cruises-summer-holidays/">Island Star. On arrival we were fast-tracked on to the ship as we had paid for a mini suite. The ship was clean and the state room was excellent. If I had one complaint with the room was there was an overhang on the balcony which meant we received no sun for the whole two weeks. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Our steward took great pleasure in creating creatures out of towels for the whole two weeks. The resturants were varied and our favourite was the steak house Cagneys. The shows were OK but you had to arrive early to get a seat. I like the free styling way of cruising it meant we could eat and drink when and where we wanted. The staff in the eateries ensured all passengers used the hand gel to ensure no bugs on board. Never wanted to come home well done NCL . This cruise may not be suitable to those who are used to the more formal cruising style. Clare and Graham Hilton , Southampton.
