Cruise for all ages

Cruise Ship: Ocean Village Two Sailed: June, 2008
Destination: Mediterranean Age: 26-35
sailed June 24th on the Tapas and Togas tour on OV2 and thought it was fantastic. The ship was sailing full capacity and there was around 250 children on board although none were any trouble thanks to the brilliant kids club on board and the swimming pool on board. Food was lovely and always plenty of choice. I ate mainly at the Plantation restaurant. The crew on board were friendly especially Lester who kept our cabin which was an inside one on deck 11 lovely and clean and always stopped to chat. The cabin was quite spacious and the beds are so comfy .

Anyone who is worried about paying the bill I just deposited a lump sum of cash when I first got on board and then I dident need to worry about paying at the end although you can registar a debit or a credit card. But as the kids were allowed their own cruise card to buy what they wanted I thought it was best to set a limit.

Dident use the spa or the gym and I dident go to the casino. The entertainment at night was ok but if your taking children apart from the freedom to move acts they are better off in the kids club at night as the shows tend to be for the adults. Although some children were in the Marquee watching the tribute singers such as the Bee Gees, Lional Richie and Tina Turner who were good. they were on at 8.30 and then repeated again at 10.30.
The trips I did with Ocean Village were Easy Rome and Nice trolley train which were half day tours and just long enough as the weather was really too hot to be walking around for the kids and even myself. they were good value for money and we did have 1 hour free time to do what we liked in Nice and 20 minutes to look around the collesseum in Rome.

Overall I would say that this ship is great for people of all ages and the informal dress and 24 hours buffet dining makes it stress free and the best thing for me was going to bed at night and waking up to somewhere different eveyday. We are already looking to go back next year.
