SPECIAL BIRTHDAY ON SEA PRINCESS

Just back from 14 days in the Med. Ship was older than we thought (1998). Great food. Lifts were confusing, from our cabin 747 we had to walk s far as cabin 423 in order to get a lift that went below deck 7, our dining room was on deck 5, still confused by this at the end of holiday. Disappointed with 2 ports of call, Civitavechia and Livorno, these are the ports for Rome and Florence which are 2 hours away, so lots of travelling in very high temperatures. Having said that we had a very enjoyable holiday, very friendly staff and fellow passengers.

On same trip, you can nit pick all day long if you wish .The only faults I found , we were left standing in 100% temps in Sardinia with no shade for tenders.Self service was hell at meal times, sun deck a little like Benidorm,we were told not to allow our credit card to convert, as they did not charge on the boat ,but they did.I think they try to hard to get you to spend on the ship.We were told to take trips, as places are hard to get to,this is not the case.We had to pay for a shuttle bus to get of the boat at one stop .I think this should have been free,as you were not allowd to walk off. SIDE FOOD GREAT, STAFF GREAT, SHIP SPOTLESS ,CABIN GOOD.HOLIDAY A1. Having said all this I would have gone back on the next trip ,am booking again.

The train from Civitavecchia to St Peters in Rome takes 45 mins. It costs €9 return and you can use your ticket on the Rome Buses as well. Much easier and cheaper than using Princess Transport
