The Spanish adventure

Recently returned from sailing on the Ventura which was a great holiday. It was my first experience sailing from Southampton which was hassle free. On arriving at ship the Ventura was huge comapred to the other ships i had been on, although i had only booked an inside cabin the rooms where very spacious with a great space for all your clothes. The ship had many dinning facilities with the food in the main restaraunt being fab. However i was a liitle disappionted with 'Pierre Whites restaraunt, the food was not special at all and considering you paid £25 per head it was not worth the money. I would recommend the shows in the Theatre and also 'The Rambles' for a quite ater dinner drink. I really enjoyed this holiday, you must try the oysters as well when you go ashore at Vigo(spain).

I too was on this cruise to the Canaries. I cannot agree with your comment about Marco Pierre White's Restaurant. My husband and I dined there and cannot fault the food or service. Yes you pay a cover charge, but if you want to eat at 6pm (and the meal took us over 2 hours to eat finishing at 8pm) you only pay £12.50 per person . You are sitting in delightful surroundings overlooking the back of the ship and it is lovely a quiet restaurant to eat in, unlike the Bay Tree at times when you could not hear yourself at times!
