I went on the Legend of the Seas with RC last July. My husband came back with a really bad cough & bad chest infection. We put it down to the airconditioning in the cabin. We have booked next year for another cruise, but will leave the patio door open to let some fresh air in.

I was also on the ship 20th sept to 4th October. I had a barking cough but it gone by Monday evening. I also put it down to the air con. I am just starting with a cold now, but is that coming home to this cold weather? It won't put me off though. I think air con is known to start coughs off with a lot of people.

I'm sorry to hear you weren't well whilst aboard & hope you are feeling better. Could it be possible that your 'bug' was brought on through droplet infection by another unfortunate passenger rather than the 'ship' & it's air con being entirely to blame. I hope your experience won't put you off cruising in future. Kind regards

I was on the 21 May Canaries cruise and was really poorly on returning with a hacking cough and chest infection. I have been on numerous cruises and haven't experienced this before. I think they had the airconditioning up too high (especially as it was not that hot outside) and was therefore uncomfortably chilly at times. It was nice to get back to our cabin to get warm! Was on the Splendour in August and the airconditioning was very comfortable and suffered no ill-effects.
