We have just returned from a twelve day cruise from Dover, through the Baltic, upto Saint Petersburg. We were in the new section of the ship in an outside cabin on deck 5, we found that the wardrobes had very limited space for hanging clothes compared with cabins that we have had in the old part of the ship on previous cruises, ok for a short cruise but could be a problem on longer cruises.
We sampled the food in all the restaurants during the cruise and found the quality of the food and service to be of a high standard. The staff deserve a special mention as being very attentive and friendly.
Entertainment we found to be of a good standard, with a special mention due to The Rosario Trio who we thought were very good and deserved a better location for some of their shows. The Observatory entertainment was not to our taste which meant we did not use it as much as we would have done.
Quality of Food
Good choice in all restaurants
Entertainment
The Abba tribute was very good.
Shore Excursions
The only excursions we took were in Saint Petersburg as you cannot leave the ship without a full Russian visa unless you go on an ship organized excursion. All other ports on this cruise are easily accessible if you are prepared for a little walking.
