FIRST CRUISE HOLIDAY

Destination: Mediterranean Age: 56-65
Our first experience of a cruising holiday. Overall very satisfied with quality of service, food and entertainment on Thomson Spirit. The major disappointment was the continuing saga of the judder on this ship .
Very relaxing holiday and probably just about right size of ship for our first experience of cruising - having been alongside Voyager at berth I believe the latter would have been too large and impersonal.
In terms of excursions we did our own thing in terms of Villefranche (easy train/ bus travel to either Nice/ Monte Carlo), Mahon & Palma are easily walkable from berth (or take NO 1 bus in Palma to centre) and did organised excursions to Florence / Pisa and Rome. In terms of cost not convinced the organised excursions represent valure for money. Major disappointment as a port of call was OLBIA (Sardinia) - I understand Alghero or Ajaccio (Corsica) would have been more attractive options.
Will definitley cruise again with Baltic/ Norway & Estern Med as next options. Saimilarly would recommend Thomson for overall value for money.

Hi Prossers Were you the posse of Welsh people we sat and chatted to outside the sports bar in Villefranche? If so may I thank you for a lovely afternoon in the sun and some great "craic".
