We sailed on Saga Ruby to the Baltics in Septmber 08 and it was the worst cruise we were ever on. Our cabin had a sewerage smell for the duration of the cruise and the toilet cotinuously blocked. After a week we rang to tell reception but they were a waste of time. The staff should not be paid gratuities up front as it makes them not as helpful. Saga Ruby should be scraped as it is nearly 50 years old and very very overpriced as are it's shore excursions. We will never cruise with Saga again.

As a previous cruiser surely you, like the rest of us, know that Saga cruises are not only pitched at the over 50s, but also at people who think they are getting something extra, that under 50s are not, and so feel justified in paying a premium for this! You knew the price comparison before you booked! The ship was the same age when you booked as when you sailed if that really bothered you? Why did you wait a week to report the problem in your cabin? Just why did you book this cruise in the first place? Was it simply because it sailed from your home port, as I believe Saga do regularly? Happy cruising.

Entries cannot be made under Saga Ruby or Rose as these ships do not exist on this sites drop down menu. Comments on Saga ships are very rare on this site because of the way there cruises are sold. The only ship present that is run by Saga was obviously used in order to place the review. Happy cruising.
