Celebrity Relocation Cruise

Destination: Transatlantic Age: 56-65
September 2008 we did a transatlantic relocation cruse from Barcelona to New-york with Celebrity Cruise's on board the Constellation, the ship was very nice though not quite as grand as appeared in the brochure, the edge of the earth bar was very dark and dismal at night, as indeed was quite a lot of the ship at night, after about eleven the ship was dead most people seemed to be in bed. The shows at night were excellent and all the staff without exception. The shore excursions were well organised and very comprehensive, though there were a few complaints about the cost of the pier bus, from the ship to the town centre in some cases less than half a mile the cost of which was about twelve dollars. the five days at sea worried me but in actual fact were great. the morning lectures with Ian wright and Bill Martin were excellent, and indeed were only a small part of the activities available. Overall the cruise was excellent O! and the food, forgot it, was superb!. Had a lovely cruise but if you want a party atmosphere wouldn't recommend this cruise.

I would agree with every comment made. In addition I would like to comment on the dreadful delays when we disembarked in Bayonne N.J . It was organized chaos, Just Crazy a real anticlimax to the Cruise Trip and quite a stressful experience It was as if people had been dumped on the sidewalk and left in the hands of a bunch of Greedy Opportunistic Vultures, exploiting the situation and charging absorbent prices to get to N.Y City I know & understand that the Cruise Line Companies are absolved of their responsibilities when the passengers leave the Ship but surely they have a Moral responsibility. They ( Cruise Lines ) give a lot of business to these Ports and I'm sure they can influence what happens after dis embankment, also these bad experiences can have a Monetary Value as people can get so turned off as to stop Cruising as it leave a bad taste in the mouth
