We are regular cruisers and prefer Celebrity, so when they launched the Azamara luxury we were happy to try it.
We paid quite a bit more for the cruise but felt we did not get the extras that go with the luxury side of cruising. Cabins were quite small .No sommelier, the butler was just our cabin attendant with a new name.
The entertainment was not as good as the usual Celebrity standard.
Dining was sort of freestyle which worked very well (having sailed on NCL and not enjoyed the freestyle). The 2 specialty restaurants were excellent and no extra charge.
We have actually booked again but managed to secure a better deal. Worth trying but a far cry from Silverseas.
Quality of Food
ate too much beef and not enough fish
Entertainment
Entertainment very limited. ie an opera singer follows by a comedian followed by an opera singer. The musicals they put on were ok but very small production. Altogether a bit boring.
