P. & O does it again!!!

Reviewed By: HOLMES, Llandrindod Wells on 3rd Dec 2008
Cruise Line: P&O Cruises Times cruised before: 10+
Cruise Ship: Aurora Sailed: October, 2008
Destination: Caribbean Age: 65+
We sailed for the Caribbean on the Aurora(P & O Cruises) on the 18th October for a 22 night wonderful cruise---everything was good and up to the usual high standard expected from the good old British Company(or is it British anymore?) The weather was good and it was our first time on the Aurora although we had cruised with P & O many times before we never seem to go on the Aurora. Partially we went because we got an excellent late deal and also we have booked to go on her in 2010 for her World cruise of 104 days. The Headliners Theatre Comany were excellent and we enjoyed their shows very much--All was good and although we had been to all the island-cruises-summer-holidays/">islands before the welcome and the enjoyment we got from visiting was so good.We can honestly say although you do meet moaners on P & O we have nothing to complain about--Our cabin was done on a 'guarantee' basis and we found ourselves upgraded to C deck and it was absolutely fine for what we need--It was an inside which for the money we paid was fantastic. No hesitations in recommending P. & O.
Quality of Food5
Our restaurant was the Alexandria--the waiters were up to their usual smiley, nothing too much trouble, helpful selves again. All the food was great and usual portions enough for any gentleman---Buffet was used on a few occassions and as usual if you know the right time to go you miss the crowding that invariably happens.
Entertainment4
The Headliners Theatre Company were excellent--These performers seem to be getting younger--as we are getting older!! They have the energy and the want to put on a very good show for all. Well done. The other entertainers were OK--nothing though I felt outstanding!!

Staff4
The waiters excellent, the cabin stewards so attentive as usual and the pursers staff so helpful.

Onboard Activities4
There is always so much to do on a cruise I find its hard to NOT do anything but relax..the lectures were good and the art which I found to be very good because Ron Fountain and his wife Maggie were doing their usual double act--IF you want to learn art the best way--take a class with Ron & Maggie--they will have you laughing and learning!! Thanks.
Cabins5
Our Cabin was on a guaranteed basis and we were upgraded to C deck--Cabin right at the bow end but no movement noticeable.
