we have previously sailed with cunard-transatlantic/">transatlantic/">Cunard so thought we would try another Cruise Line.Fred Olsen fitted the bill as it had formal as well as informal evenings, which is how we prefer it.We boarded the ship at Dover, not as good a terminal as Southampton. We were greeted by very friendly staff & shown to our cabin, which was a decent size with more then adequate facilities. The cruise itself was very good, although the going got a bit rough in the Bay of Biscay (force 10).We visited some very interesting places,La Rochelle,Bilbao,EL Ferrol & Oporto. The staff on board were excellent, always a smile. On board activities were somewhat limited, however this particular cruise had a high number of ports of call so activities are always less on those days. The food was good & varied without being exceptional. The price of drinks is very similar to pub prices & wine with meals similar to restaurant prices. We met some very nice people on board & the ship had a very friendly feel about it so would recommend the Black Watch to anyone who wants good value for money, which is just as well as we are booked on the Black Watch again in December
