We have recently been on the American Dream on Artemis ( the little ship with a big heart) and had awonderful time . The stars of the cruise really had to be the captains we had 2 one to 16/10/08 and one to end of the cruise. They were always approachable and most helpful. The cruise ship is child free and geared up for adults. On the down side it was a gardening cruise which made no difference to us it was going where we wished to go but 67 lectures on gardening could be called excessive!!This was our second cruise on this delightful ship and we are going on her again next year.
In addition the higher up you are on deck the worse the engine vibration is promenade deck is probably the best.
The food was even better than on our previous trip and the restaurant service good. there seems to be a little laxness allowed in dress even on formal nights some people wore shorts in public rooms after 6.00pm. I note that on smart casual evenings on P O that jeans are now allowed in the restaurant.
All in all an excellent cruise itinerary just a shame they are not doing it next year.
If I am lucky enough to get a copy of Berlitz can I have 2009 as I have 2008.
Thank you.
