Indepence of the Seas in the Canaries

In May we went on Indepencence of the Seas. We have cruised on several other ships but this is the most impressive. For a new ship the crew were very good. Completely at ease in their surroundings. Cruising with Royal Caribbean from Southampton was very easy and convenient, from car parking to check-in they are excellent. Quick and amazingly efficient for a very large vessel. There is so much to see and do onboard. Cabins are spacious and very well serviced. It would have been better with an indoor pool or megadrome as the weather was windy and the pool areas were very cool at times, although the pool area is impressive. The ice shows were great. I would certainly recommend Royal Caribbean.

hi, can you tell me anything about the excursion, did you book any on board the ship, and were they expensive ,or would you recommend doing your own thing off the ship. thankyou.

If you are docked at the port in the town in the canaries for example it is easy to do your own thing. Other places ie Rome are more difficult and tours are probably recommended. They are always more expensive!
